For a long time Durham Ice rink and the triumphant hockey team The Durham Wasps have been rarely mentioned in the history of Durham City. In collaboration with Carl Joyce Film-maker, Dead Dog Gallery and DSFC, we brought the history to light through an exhibition and will be creating a short documentary in the process.

CYAN CIC in collaboration with Durham Spray Paints, are supporting the transition of a number of local spaces into their use as legal walls. We will be collaborating with artists to do some initial repair and mural work, then helping with the curation of these spaces going forward. This ongoing projects has already seen 5 spaces become ‘legal’.

Building on the huge successes of the last two years, we are putting County Durham on the map as a place where artists can thrive with consultations, workshops and murals leading up to 2025’s festival. If you have a wall you would like to offer, please get in touch.
