Mentor Programme: In 2023 we matched two first time mural artists up with the North East's most experienced mural artists, guiding them to paint a mural. This is an unpaid opportunity, but all materials for painting and PPE will be provided. Ideal for anyone, no previous experience of art or a portfolio necessary.

Mural Commissions (Commercial): Commercial mural commissions will be working in the community with businesses to create murals for their brand. This is a great opportunity to get more experience working to brief with businesses, with guidance from the CYAN team. Ideal for: Artists with expirience painting commissions, or wanting to move into commission work

Mural Commissions (Festival): Festival commissions are direct from CYAN, matching you to a wall and giving you the freedom to paint something that you've always wanted to. Ideal for: Artist with enough experience to work independently.

Volunteer: We have a number of roles this year that can be staffed by volunteers. If you're interested in helping out, even in a small way, it will really help the festival become bigger and better.

I have a wall. Wether it's a business who wants shutters painting, or a residential house who's interested in being part of the festival. We painted our murals last year at no charge to the businesses, we hope with more funding this year we are able to do the same.

Bob Abley Gallery Exhibitions: Last year we exhibited work in our local art gallery. Ideal for: Artists who have work they can see in a gallery setting.
